From the latest press release. About Transformco. Note what comes first and what comes last:

You see the rolling banner at the bottom of the main page? Two of the brands not included? Kmart and Sears. That says it all.
No, Eddie hasn't thrown the towel in on "Transformco", but he is winding down the retail aspect of it. Notice the "Sears" and "Kmart" icons on the page have gotten much smaller. Most of the jobs posted are either for help in closing retail stores, or looking for people to work for their appliance repair or home improvement services. If Eddie wasn't going to throw in the towel on retail operations, he probably would be brining some towels in or something to fill in the empty shelves. The last time I really saw anything new come in at Sears was when the shoe section was filled with some odd looking footwear right after Payless closed down. Hmmm?

Nothing says stable like a web site listing hundreds of store closing jobs.
I agree. Eddie having laid off 99% of employees in 12 years and closed 98.7% of stores in the same period, this in no way convinces me.
