What a brilliant idea, vandalizing and committing crimes to get attention about union labor is a great way to help gain public trust and support. Especially when you are committing crimes against other union members like police officers. I highly recommend anyone dumb enough to be in a union to contribute to this kind of behavior so we can find a jail cell for you to rot in and we dont waste a space in a company paying you for a job when you dont want to work in the first place.
Jack- I have negotiated my pay for every job I have ever had and its worked out just fine. Theres these things called laws that you naively reference which uphold basic employment rights such as minimum wage (which is recently getting raised even) and fringe benefits, oddly it does not require you to be a union employee to receive them-weird right? But get this, you also dont have to pay dues to some lazy slug that just wants you to do the very minimum amount of work and make sure you wear a colored shirt to show support for what they take credit for doing. The union is the biggest scam still running chief, nobody can be selfish and unappreciative of what they do because they dont do anything at all, you are receiving basic labor benefits that are inflated because you pay a fee to receive them and have other people fight your battles for being a worthless employee that cant pull your own weight to avoid discipline. Clearly being a union member over the years has distorted your mindset just like the id–t that wants to vandalize to get attention, you people are completely disgusting and with that kind of attitude you dont deserve a job in the first place. Hope to see you on the picket line pal, I'll deliver your belongings personally.
Sorry to say is to get the public's sympathy. You can't be civil because they're not watching unless you get their attention. Be newsworthy! On the street, hollering, holding signs, throwing rocks & bottles, setting fires, overturning police cruisers, slashing tires. They'll watch then. Embarrassing the company before the public. They can afford it.....cost them money in publicity.
Ibew824 used to be a great thing when the company was Verizon. It seems like ibew824 became as incompetent as the new company “frontier”. Time and time again they have failed to hold the company to the contract that was agreed upon and grievances are basically a joke. The biggest failure I would have to say is that they let the new contract agreement pass and agreed to a 90 day extension for almost 2 yrs.
You mean like how the union negotiated away all of our good benefits over the years?
Another freeloader wants to stop paying dues. Too bad right to work laws requires the union to provide representation to sorry and selfish people like you. It would be great if your sorry a– had to negotiate your own pay and benefits.
Contact payroll. this month is the only time you will let you quit paying dues without hassling you
The union IBEW 824 will tell you the contract states you can only quit the union during a specific time of the year. The contract is between the local and the company. You did not sign a contract with the union but joined membership with the local. Subsequently, if they state you cannot quit the union it would make for a lawsuit. Good luck.
