Always the same story, always the same problems, nothing changes here. My motivation is lacking more than ever. I don’t remember the last time when I came to work relaxed and motivated. I can barely do my job because everything here has become so very boring to me. This company no longer has any vision and that is why I feel like I am slowly sinking along with it.

CEO keeps talking about “turn around” growth
The only turn around that I see is more and more of its experienced employees retiring early or leaving
Those who stay are waiting out time
I'm way too young to retire, or camp out until retirement. So like many others who survived the layoff, I'm using my time now to find a better place while 3M pays my bills. 3M has lost the way, and I don't see any signs of it turning around anytime soon. If the VPs want to make all the tiny decisions, they can go ahead, I don't need to be there while they do it.
That’s what all the 30 year plus managers I know, (me included) are doing. Biding our time, getting our paycheck. No motivation, just waiting it out.
For me i am just waiting to retire in 5 years. Or if lucky enough to get a severance package from the next round of restructuring. There is likely a 4th one in four years. Agree?
