Yes, they need someone for a top position. But they have to go through procedures. The job has to be posted, applied for, vetted, accepted and processed. Welcome to big business.
Its a person managing all of the real estate owned by Transformco. Whether it be current Kmart Sears stores, those that were previously those but now vacant, those that have a new tenant, distribution centers (open or closed), Headquarters office complex. etc. Anything owned by Transformco.
Managing would include maintaining, leasing out, closing current, offering for sale, completing sale transactions.

Monetizing Real Estate Assets. Something many people believed was the purpose of the 2005 merger. Retail Operations was just to keep things going until "monetized".
Monetization of Real Estate Assets has always been the only definition of "Transformation". After all, why name the new company Transformco if you were going to operate retail stores?
