The job you have is better than the job you don't have, unless it is soul-crushing. If you like who you work with and can disconnect from bad leadership, bad decisions, dumb secret structure, and meager hope, there is nothing at all wrong with riding it out with income and insurance while doing a good job and helping those you can. But if your soul is being crushed, and if all that stupid makes it hard to logon or walk into the building, then you should know it is great out here. Good work, good pay, and less dumb is out here, and there is nothing wrong with looking and making a move. That said, there are plenty more dumb companies which are just not as far along the spectrum of disasters from their own poor decisions that undermine their resilience in bad times; watch out for them. Everyone is different, and there are a lot of ways to make a living; I hope everyone strives to find ways of making a living and living in balance. You are not what you do, but what you do is part of you so treat yourself well.
