Do you think there is any chance that they will offer that option in the US as well? I don’t believe it, but I would so much like them to offer a voluntary package in the US as well. I would leave without any thought, I would not wait for them to get rid of me in another way. Oh how good that would be. I believe a lot of people took voluntary in Celle as well, if it’s really true that it was offered there.

As soon as you mention to your boss that you are volunteering you are guaranteed to get a very "Large Package". However, just be forewarned that it will not be the monetary kind and not very enjoyable!

Very few employees are taking the offer in Celle fearing that they won't be able to get a new job. They want to stick in this rubbish industry the entire lifetime
75 people took the package the last time it was offered in Celle (Aug 2020). Deadline this time is 19 March, and only a maximum of 220 people can take it on a first come first serve basis
I know one person is getting it...leaving March 31st. in the USA. Talk to your boss since there will be more layoffs this month.
