Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

Is your work sufficiently compensated?

Got layed off from this company a few years ago and got severance pay. I’m not going to name my department, but we had so many talented people leave CDK and go on and work at some pretty impressive places. I also saw a 30% increase in pay at my next job after staying at CDK for many years and not once receiving a promotion or raise. I’m not sure why I was there as long as I was. Anyways, there are so many better places to work. Get out now and seek better pay, because CDK won’t ever compensate you fairly.

/////// Highlight from another thread. Great advice!

For years nothing has changed here, except for the worse. I don’t know about others, but I’ve never been paid enough for the amount of work I do.

@11usa+19EyOGpP No you didn't. At least lie in a way that cannot be disproven by a simple check online.

There is no "up and coming cloud-based DMS company". The few which exist aren't more than startups going nowhere and praying for CDK or R&R to buy them up (see also Lot Wizard, where for $50 and a DSL modem, you too can pretend that your little 30-car used lot is equal to the big boys.)

I left in 2019 from CDK Front end implementation, landed with an up-and-coming Cloud-based DMS company, and I'm earning 60% more than when I was with CDK. My advice to you, get away from CDK as soon as you can. You will be happy you did.

ROTFL – if you're not getting paid above–market salary at CDK, then you don't have marketable skills worth paying for in the first place. Facts.

These comments crack me up. It's like some folks overseas are hoping more people leave so they can get jobs... LMAO!!!

After seeing a lot of good people laid off and watching job after job get shipped offshore I finally had enough and left. I then found how just how underpaid I was upon leaving CDK. I don't regret leaving for a second.

Agree. Left CDK last year after over a decade. Got a 12% increase in salary at new job over what I was getting at CDK, was told that was equal to my experience. So, yeah, if you stay with CDK, do not expect to be paid fairly. I try to convince former coworkers to look elsewhere because there are better options out there both in pay and work environment.
