Most weren't interesting in seeking the truth. They were happy to endlessly hamster wheel and play corporate ostritch for some nickels and dimes.
Told a few weeks ago we would be downsizing and attrition would occur. Management has been silent and they can’t/refuse to answer basic questions.
It’s hard to work everyday not knowing when our last day is or what’s even going on.
Yes, looking for another job sounds easy. I’ve been job hunting for 7 months and have had many interviews with no such luck.
At this point I’m more concerned about trying to remain productive and not be fired prior to whenever D-Day may be. The unknown is mentally and emotionally exhausting.
Yep!! update that resume, and look out. We are not needed and based on prior facts the reality is the reality
Update your resume now. Get on job boards ahead. Start applying. You can list your current job as confidential (Fortune 50 healthplan) for example.
The Centene is making other plans rethink labor pools.
Confirm April. Ugly. Here we go again. You see other plans doing it to like Centene.
Bingo, it's a capitalistic machine. It's like getting "surprised" because you got stung when you put your hand in a hornet 's nest. That's what capitalism does...it lusts after profit. And you're just a lackey employee/cog in the vile us wheel.
April
I guess I should have phrased it, when are the dates of layoffs. I realize that there will be but I need someone who is helpful who knows the dates....they did previously. We knew last week was one cycle...
It can happen at any time to anybody working for any employer these days. Do your kids and grandkids a lifesaving favor and build a family business that they can take over for generations.
Of course there are. This is a capitalist machine. It's not a day care center.
