Not wanting to name names, but does anyone have a manager who lacks total and I mean TOTAL common sense? Sometimes I wonder how s/he came into that position. As the saying goes, the more intelligent you are the less common sense comes with it. For once I’d like to have a manager who is equally balanced.

I actually had a manager at Fossil and who is still there.... whom I "inherited"....as I NEVER would have accepted a position under this person. At any rate, this person told me that I didn't take constructive criticism very well....laughable considering the person doing the "criticizing" truly would have had to have done something...anything... constructive for me to even take them seriously! 😂Your constructive criticism, my dear was pure unabashed jealousy...I wish you and others left there luck at this point in securing positions outside of Fossil.
At this point, you are going to have to make a choice to put in the work needed to leave the company for a new role, or accept reality and your eventual fate if your job is in jeopardy.
I don’t recommend the latter choice.
Ethical or not, it’s highly improbable that someone will come and change your manager or the culture to fit your desires. You have to take steps to make positive changes using your time, skills and leveraging friends/family you trust to help guide your journey.
This is true of many circumstances in life. Don’t feel wait for permission, take responsibility and make the moves you need to make.
I wish you the best; now believe in yourself and make some moves!
It’s disappointing when one of the best managers I have ever had at Fossil, who was a talented leader, knew the business, would dive in to help the team get the work done when necessary, kept the team motivated and full of passion, and treated the team with fairness and respect was let go! Now my team is left with a person who lacks the necessary experience, let alone lacks people skills and demotivates and demoralizes our team! Again, Disappointing to say the least!
You guys are pathetic.. Get a life.
😂😂 And you are JUST NOW recognizing that fact about the majority of Fossil management. Maybe if more people would have spoken up sooner, backed your colleagues that recognized that fact eons ago, then Fossil employees current and former would have been in somewhat of a better situation. Instead you are just waiting to be let go in the next 7 months.
You're asking for too much at Fossil....
