What does a person have to do here to be promoted? I've been with Aflac for more than five years. I've always received really good reviews and I always made sure to do whatever was asked of me, even if this meant I was at times doing the work of two people for one pay. And despite constant assurances that I was in line for a promotion, nothing has happened. I've been waiting for two years now for them to honor their word, but it's not happening. I think I'm about ready to give up and leave for greener pastures. I just feel awful that I wasted this many years at this ungrateful place.

Get out now. Don't waste anymore of your time at Aflac. I have wasted double your time there.
the "corporation" owes their employees RESPECT! these are some of the most ungrateful, disrespectful and deceitful people i have ever dealt with in my life. when an individual enters into a relationship with the employer, there should be mutual respect and expectations of fair treatment. If the employer discriminates and treats people differently based on race, religion, friendships and relationships then they are hiring nothing but slaves. this company has not progressed very far from it's roots about hiring slaves to fill their workforce. I've seen a lot of very ambitious, good and skilled workers leave to seek better treatment elsewhere. It's the culture and the mindset stupid! If you are a follower, you have agreed into slavery.
Get up, get out, and get something. Don’t spend all your time trying to... yes , it’s a song. But true. Go get it.
If you see your years as "wasted," that's on you. The corporation owes you nothing, accept what they've agreed to pay you.
