Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

No incentive to do my best

If there's a reason to go out of my way and do anything but the bare minimum at Apache I can't find it. Initiative and hard work are only rewarded with more work and nothing else. No pay increases, no bonuses, no promotions, nothing. Mediocrity seems to be the way to go here - it certainly gets the management's stamp of approval.

Industry tanked. The jobs aren't there.

You have to love the self-righteous. Always trying to teach others a lesson or two (vs. realizing they are part of the problem with Apache). Ostriches!

Layoffs happened across the O&G, almost at every company. Even the ones with better performance and management. And I’m sure many those people still looking for jobs would go back to Apa if given the chance. Apa is not a jail, u can leave anytime. Imagine being that unhappy but with bad salary.

So we are supposed to settle for a garbage company with zero career growth opportunities JUST because the pay is good and because we had some friends fall victim to that same garbage company being mismanaged? I just want to be clear on your stance before we carry this any further.

Your incentive should be to keep your job. Think about some of the people/friends that got laid off a year ago and have found no job

No bonuses? You must not be a current employee
