Is it just me or are the projects getting worse and worse?
I can only speculate about the reasons for that. Any toughts?

Racism is not a white only character trait... you would be surprised how many in India (Asia) are ... however over there it is more subtle. More manipulative... UK thought them well how to play games. India first has existed way before America came up with its own.
Time to push back on the games.

Peter principle... Goyabean should have never been promoted that much. We bear responsibility.
He can’t handle big projects for more than a few months then ask for $$$ then quits. Repeat rinse and let’s go again.... promotes a policy of pushing out locals and pushing in people from a specific area of the world.... And here we are. Management let that happen

Tried to build an empire doing politics and wheeling and dealing.... and messing about trying to climb up.... off course that would create a lot of stress
Guy is great a project managent , not qualified for the rest but BS well I guess.... fools hr and many others, but truth is slowly coming out... first CTO should never have made him management he can’t do that well at all

@pxhp, He had issues with unmanaged stress and as a result got other issues....now on paid leave at 100% for the next few months. Word is tried to work above his capabilities and management let it happen because that meant less work for them. Not a bad deal if you can get it at 250K/Y. Caused Herman the German to leave, so a nice guy in your face but very manipulative. -as you know very well.

Only a few people in Austin can run major projects. None left in GV, since that one (friend of first CTO) that pushed out all competitors out and went on extended paid vacation (or whatever). Melville has one only that can do major projects and is also functioning at the level of a fellow as proven by results. So we're not out of the woods yet....

Off course.... if you can’t make it it must be incompetence.... wait.... hundred years ago if someone is as a specific color they needed to be guided because of incompetence... colonized... enslaved... because incompetence... pointing to specific regions being more incompetent only means that one subscribes to some ideology that can only be called racism. It is used to increase nepotism, graft, and a multitude of other behaviors that are not acceptable. As for the fellow stuff that keep coming up... well that’s something we have to deal with. It is a known problem, and the idea of more director fellows in Austin that has floated around for a couple of years may be a solution.

Correct on the anti Asian behavior. Plain racism and it is a problem. Eventually a lawsuit will happen in Melville it is just a question of time with this “f them before they f you” thinking. Usually the haters hate multiple things gender, origin, religion...... because they are angry at their sad life where they got abused and want to heap it on other now. Notice there are no fellow of color... no woman fellow etc. ... what does that tell you about those types?

Actually racism in Melville is alive and well. There is no doubt it exists and thrives ... it can be open with the seccesion flag and white robes or more subtle. Like a previous poster mentioned... example. “ I had a hard life as an engineers and had to prove myself against harsh managers so I will make sure the others suffer needlessly too!” Wait... why are those being made to suffer always from another region? By that stupid thinking ... 3000 years ago you had to fight to the death to get this so let’s make sure we keep doing it ... that’s silly backward !
If some engineer had it bad moving through the tank because of id–tic management or culture, we feel sorry for you that was unfair and unjust but why do it to others???? That’s insane!

ahhh the race card... Love to see when people default to this. I failed and can't advance not because I'm incompetent and inexperienced...its because of my race. There's ton of people who are minorities and from India in leadership roles throughout the company and it was actually this way before HON spun us off so lets cut the Cr@p now. Blame what you want and say you are being held down but you all just 5uk. Incompetence comes in a rainbow of colors.

I can confirm this behavior in Melville. If you are let’s say a Enginee with 20 years and advanced in your career we will force you to start from a lower position...

Consider people from a subcontinent. They help each other move up career wise, not following that racist F them behavior. Actually the f them people are usually white , 45+, male, angry that they don’t have more money (even if they make 250k)

The PMO is doomed! They keep all the wrong people in Director level position making all others look bad. God forbid you speak up & call them out on it. They give you bad performance reviews to shut u up & hopefully force you out so they can keep their racket going. The dysfunctional culture and lack of any true leadership allows it. Adb, what a disappointment, only cars about & helps herself. Z man in Melville, Frenchie, all the people at the top who accomplished nothing and perpetuate the cycle are still there. Only way to fix it is knock it down & rebuild. They all know what’s wrong & who shud go, but they keep them & like the status quo...same with Goyabean in GV, & AustinGreenCard, etc. The problem isn’t location specific, it’s everywhere. We have the same universal political problems. Director level & up leave things just the way they are to maintain their positions & income. No one cares about sustaining the company, just lining their own selfish, greedy pockets. New leadership seems to recognize this & will hopefully stick around to fix it, but are we too far gone? Maybe it’s not worth the tremendous effort to fix such a damaged ship & they will sail on to better / different / safer shores.

Well... we shall vomit together.... its insane how PMO from the first CTO in Rezi have not really delivered on any products that matters.... AustinQAGreenCard is like an admin s—ing up to Sr Directors, and just spend time in Austin smooching....HasBeenSurfer, we wonder if AMZ will work without close supervision, GoyaBean always played politics to prevent anyone deliver anything without him at the top... Highlander played the politics to sink Storm and screw the former Prez by the same token... Wow..... What a team of winners, grossly overpaid for what they deliver.... the fact that they were allowed to just go around grafting Rezi is amazing.

Are we talking about HasBeenSurfer? GoyaBean? AustinQaGreenCard? MelvilleCN? Highlander?
Here the pattern with all: follow the process. Spin the project for years, knowing the stuff is flawed, when it is time to deliver a product, claim design issues and play politics to cancel the project. Rinse and repeat every 18 months. NOTE: even if a product is bad, it should still be completed rigth? And not found impossible years after? No wonder they are all sick! It takes a toll weaving a web of politics and lies...very stressful always messing with people and focusing on getting to the top! Don’t trust them with a 10 foot pole though... insane FLIR has no PMs and has to rely on the first CTO PMO ... going to vomit now ...

This is all BS when are those PMs going to take responsibility for their inability to drive anything fast and rigth? They want any project to ast for years and then... ask it to be shutdown. Did you notice that they are all people we didn’t want and they are back at a compensation that is 180% above market ???
Why can’t we find real PMs that won’t blame everyone else for their failures and stop the politics !

But the last CTO we had (was hired by super HR... probably from GV) ...after taking money and securing a big payout that one ran away when it was time to deliver, and s—ered a continuous income for a while. By far the worst we ever had.... we should call him rabbit CTO ... I want that job! Makes more money that buying shares of some gaming Corp! I wonder which Corp he is sinking by now!

Listening to this morning's earnings call you would think that every thing was going great! According to our leaders, the Pro-series was the most successful launch ever !!! What are they smoking? And of course, no surprises, they had the b–lls to explain away part of the miserly increase in profit as due to the increased exec bonuses resulting from the improved business performance. The exec compensation committee should hang their heads in shame. Listen to recording of the call if you didn't get a chance. The string of useless CTO's is part of the problem, but short-sighted, reactive general management execs also play a big part in the new product roadmap mess.
