I just heard that there was a massive layoff at the Tucson Celestica (Honeywell) plant. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 people with still more to come.
Can we get more info on this, please? When you say more to come, does it mean at the plant or company wide? I've been hearing some rumors and I admit, I'm panicking a bit right now.
I don't know about company wide, but I was just let go yesterday. I had been with Celestica since they took over the Honeywell Tucson site in 15 and I was with Honeywell since 04. I got a severance package, not much but better than nothing. Yesterday they let go 3 of us on the swing shift and quite a few on days from all departments. They claimed it's because of the lack of work since the pandemic.
