Thread regarding Progressive Insurance layoffs

What is it like working at progressive?

I currently work at Allstate but it is being run into the ground and we are having massive layoffs

I’m happier here and I came here in July. I’m paid more and also treated with respect and not questioned for my aux codes or micromanaged.

I can work autonomously & independently.

I have been at Allstate and State Farm and if you think it will be better you better think again, insurance is insurance. I thought it would be great coming over but it isn't, my manager is a nightmare, I am telling more people their claims are denied than I every did at Allstate or State Farm. My coworkers have told me the manager has been with Progressive for years and only was given the job due to being a good friend of the manager. I want to say I should have taken the job at Geico instead of Progressive but the person I know over there says it isn't any better.

If you really want a better job get out of insurance.

I gotta ask, how is the claims load? How many hours do progressive handlers put down a week? I'm interested, I'm not with allstate (thank god) but interested. Their hiring salary seems low for an industry notorious for overtime i guess you could say.

Progressive treats their employees AMAZING. I left Allstate to join Progressive and couldn’t be happier. Do it.
