Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

This is our new reality

This place is done. Maybe there are ways to turn it around but with this management everybody knows that's not happening. No, we are stuck. We are stuck in a company that will be hemorrhaging employees in hopes of staying afloat for the foreseeable future, until there's nobody left to get rid of. And then they'll turn the lights off. I don't see a different outcome no matter what.

Left the Staples sh#t show a couple of years ago on my own terms. Try to strategically wait for the next riff for a package...big red couldn't get that right either...riff was 60 days out. I have a few friends from the glory days of legacy Staples that still work for the company. Otherwise the majority of people left are from the bad and losing CE culture and toxic SP leadership. I look at this blog infrequently but shake my head that the posts are pretty much the same as before I left. I rather not opine on what a trash company Staples is now...which goes without saying. I have respect and empathy for those who sincerely making the best of a bad company and situation...not so much for the pathetic ars kissers and gritters. As it has been said many times...there is life beyond Staples. No such thing as a perfect company but there are much better. Good luck...up and out this bi#ch....

As stated before (IMO) Staples is "dated" the management staff is worthless and just doing what they can to stay on payroll. That means getting rid of lower level staff to cut cost, just to survive temporally. At some point in time Staples will not have the strong work force to bring business in. That business will be lost to Amazon, Wal-Mart, SAMS, WB, etc...And the management staff that is left who caused all of this will fall info a failing job market at $15 an hour. A long way from the 6 figure pay before.... #carmaiscoming
