It has been said. The reality where constant training followed up by tests is more important than hitting a sales number. And let’s be clear, I have seen cheating on these post training modules by some. Not a good look so managers and leaders, open your eyes and determine if you have ethical people on your teams or cheats. It might be time to remind employees the corporate code of ethics.

Best thing that happened to me was getting let go from this sh*tbag company last June. Believe it - there are much better jobs out there!

If it helps, there IS life after Staples! I was let go last year, the last BIG layoff, and got with a new company a few months ago. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to attend an All Hands where the news isn’t dire, where people are optimistic about the future. If this job is starting to eat away at you, impact your personal life and mental health, take heart in that it’s literally just a job. One door closes, another one opens and what may be beyond it could be exactly what you need. Wishing you all the very best.

Hit across the board with the exception of print and promo. Moving more and more to an inside model. Watch out folks. Let’s lay off talented, career driving, revenue generating people and then post on LinkedIn that there are B2B openings on the same day. Customers are tired of getting a new account manager every 6 months

There is a certain someone in our company that seems to know before release the departments and names of people getting laid off. This employee is not in a position to know. When will this end? Who is leaking this at a management level and why do they confide in this minion? I’m about to whistleblow as this has been going on for a few years.

Staples is "dated" as well as the management and their ways. I've never seen sales people have so many meetings and training sessions? No wonder why your sales teams have poor numbers. THEY CAN'T WORK A FULL DAY SELLING! You can "rebrand" all you want, have awesome guest speakers at events, all the fireworks and excitement. When the dust settles the company is worthless, provides no value and customers have better options. It's only a matter of time before a chapter 11 filing. THEY ARE BROKE! The Depot deal was a failure out of the gate. What now..... try and buy someone else so you can capture that customer base also simply because you can't get them on your own? Why? Because your sales staff is in a worthless meeting or some waste of time training that brings no value. All I can say is I hope you guys and gals have a plan B.

Company s—s and the management team who runs it. Do yourself a favor leave now....You're just a number. They don't care about you.
