No way this would ever happen. The DOJ would never allow it. Now I think Broadcom might have tried for Compuware if they had the chance, as there is not a ton of overlap in the portfolio, but it is too late now.

I wouldn't think that would pass competitive review given that BMC & Compuware merged last year. It would form a near monopoly on Mainframe Application Software. Who else would be left? Microfocus?
