Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Anyone has experience on how STT Talent Marketplace works?

How long one is paid to be in TM? Will a severance being paid if one can't find a position within STT when TM run out ( if there is a limit)?

When your get laid off you get the package

When your get laid off and if you find a new job you still receive the package

When your laid off for 1 year you are not allowed and will not be hired back even if your qualified
for the job.

Managers waste their employees time. It's no wonder nothing gets done. We don't need another coffee talk meeting about nothing.

Move on. Don't stick around for The Big Fat Executive Pigs. They only care about themselves.

If I was in the talent marketplace and got a job outside of SSB, I would see how long I could get away with working that new job in hopes of getting the package.

From what it sounds like, folks in the market place are on borrowed time and it is up to you to run out the clock or try and find a new job.

Would you still get paid during TM 90 days period?

Take a job outside this company. It isn't going to get better. Managers in this place are really meeting princesses. A lot of talk and no support for those who work for them. They don't care about you. They care about themselves and that goes up the chain. Forget about severance. Go to a good company.

@8vmo+192fKoEL get your resume updated and leave with new job. Who cares about severance! You’ll be free!! I would not give 2 weeks either - if you’re in TM, there is no transition- unless you want SSB to pay you 2 weeks for doing nothing :) which I did.

Your questions keep getting dumber. If you find a job outside SSB and you accept, no severance. Again “you” are deciding to leave so they don’t owe you anything.

What happens if you find a job outside and want to start now?

Your resume is sent to hiring manager if deemed a potential match. If hiring manager agrees, you complete an interview. If hiring manager likes you, you get an offed. If they don’t, no offer and you continue your job search.

How is an offer made? Do you interview or does a hiring manager pull your resume out of a hat?

30 day notice before transfer to TM. Max 90 day in TM. If you are offered a position in a new group and accept, you transfer out. If you reject offer, you are let go with no severance. If you make it 90 days with no offer, you are let go with severance.
