Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Escaping the Sears mothership

It sure seems like everyone competent who knew anything about anything at corporate has finally been let go or left Sears. There's no more lists because there's no one left to make them, and trying to reach someone who's responsible for anything whatever it is is a fool's errand.

I think of how fortunate it was that Allstate, Discover, Coldwell Banker and the rest left Sears before Eddie could get his tiny little mitts on it. He might have destroyed $150B in business instead of just $55B. Sears/Kmart were still absolutely dominant in many areas when Eddie took over. His refusal to invest capital in this ensured the destruction of over 300,000 jobs, numerous stores, while he lost his pants over what he thought he was going to make money of, the IP and real estate.

@lgx+192XxaLf Exactly! That's all that matters, not some stupid mothership gibberish. What location is closing on What Date? All that matters is some juicy blasts!

No, this is a closing lists news board. When there is a list, Jack/Ron will promptly post it here with links!

Whole lot of nothing here. This company belongs in the trash heap with Bradlees, Caldors, Ames, Jamesway etc. They are obsolete. Move on.
