Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

RAS is planning massive layoffs

This is from very reliable source who is involved in the layoffs planning. Zedi would be taking the biggest hit followed by Geofields. Both businesses struggling. Even ESI will not be spared this time. Revenues dropping significantly.

The comments about GeoFields look like they are coming from former, disgruntled employees.

I can't speak for Zedi or ESI. But GeoFields should be okay now. They adopted some new technologies, changed staff, and are starting to turn things around. About 4 years late but still making the adjustment. I'd probably still be there if they are done that sooner.

The comments about the developers is laughable. Former GeoFields staff know what I'm talking about.

Pedro can survive as a senior management in Emerson. Outside he would not survive as a first line manager.

Geofields and Zedi were dead the moment it was put under the useless clueless RAS leader, Pedro D.

Geofields was dead the moment Keith walked out the door.

All developers at Geofields were laid off. Last nail in the coffin for Geofields. Thanks to Pedro who destroyed the business.

Praying that Pedro’s leaving will happen. Ron Martin and Sabee Mitra are not beholden to Pedro, unlike Jim. Pedro has been and still is an unmitigated disaster for RAS.

Pedro will be gone soon. For those in despair, there is hope. Hang in there.

Zedi will eventually die. So, $135 million is definitely not worth it. Blame it on the stupidity of RAS leadership.

How many ZedI folk made it to RAS ? Wonder if it was worth buying. RAS should’ve bought TotalFlow & Spirit instead. OE or ZEDI are in a different segment.

ESI is too strong for Pedro to destroy immediately but eventually it will be destroyed by him. It’s sad. Why didn’t Emerson takes ESI, Geofields and Zedi out of RAS is beyond me. These companies do not fit into RAS especially under Pedro’s leadership or lack of.

Pedro was brought up in the same mold as many Emerson executives. They talked down on employees. They think they are the only humans around. All of us employees do not have feelings.

Keith Chambless is a great guy. We all love him and his leadership. He built Geofields business from scratch, only for Pedro to destroy it. It’s such a pity. How could an executive talk to another in such demeaning manner is beyond me. Arrogant a-hole.

Geofields is not the only business that Pedro destroys, he destroyed Zedi too. We were doing well until RAS bought us and it was downhill since.

Geofields was a great company until Emerson took over. The last straw was when Pedro came to Atlanta and visited our office. He was so condescending to Keith, our president for almost 20 years. Keith was livid and resigned. Keith was synonymous with Geofields. He knows the business. He has the relationships with customers. When he left, we stopped winning deals and finally lost our biggest account to a competitor. Geofields then lost other key employees and Pedro executed two layoffs on Geofields. The latest round basically k–led the business completely.
