Thread regarding Sears layoffs

The last time that you will ever have a holiday off at Sears & Kmart

Christmas Day will be last and final day where the store will be closed for the holiday and after that we can expect no more day off with then liquidation at every remaining store in the fleet and the company ceasing operation by March 2021

There is NOT going to be a comeback. People who think this are delusional. Both Sears and Kmart are in Ed Lampert inflicted irrelevancy. Their websites don't matter either, they have no product. It's sad to see once powerful legacy retailers like Kmart and Sears ruined by one person. Yes, they should have done some things differently before EL, but he did nothing but help them whither away. EL had a vindictive approach to them. He willed them to fail.

I thought that Cheerleaders are the ones that keep saying that the company will make a comeback.

For all of the cheerleaders on this board who celebrate every store closing and the hundreds of people who are put out of work. This is good news.

Home Services has more work than they can handle and are hiring. If OP is true, maybe the legacy retail side will cease (except hometown) but not everything.
