It’s gotten to the point where I am this close to start applying at convenience stores and fast food joints just to be able to get by until I find something more lucrative. How is everyone else doing in the job market search? Does anyone have any good news to share?

To "PlaceSucks": 5 grand to grow your own dope? You get 12 plants. If you want to be a grower, you need to talk to my friend that has over $100 grand invested with credit cards maxed out at 50 grand and still isn't 100% licensed by OMMA.
The industry is in the great shrinkage. Half of all jobs in 2018 will be gone in 2022.
Meanwhile colleges are dumping out people like covid vaccine bottles.
For less than 5 grand you can grow your own dope. You might not get rich but it sounds like more fun than shucking oysters in Texas.
OP, here's some news. Fast food and convenience stores aren't even hiring. This will be a rolling revelation for you, as you come to terms with reality. Would be better if you informed yourself on the true state of the nation, which is probably 100x worse than your evening news tells you.
Covid didnt cause it either, it only accelerated the downfall. This has been going on for years, but until you get your pink slip, you're blissfully unaware
Laid off in 2015...seismic. (third time). Never could find anything else. Finally went 180 out and chose something completely different and stable. Get out now and do something else. It may not pay as much but you will feel less stressful in a more stable industry. Good luck!!!!
