They always layoff. But this year they laid off because they want to stay ahead of the Covid-19 issues that have effected the bottom line through loss of elective services and shutdown in March. They lay off loyal and hard working people because they lack innovation.

Everyone in the healthcare industry is doing the same. It is a contest right now when senior leadership is trying to outsource more than any other company. That is why you will see massive layoffs in healthcare industry.
It was a good gig. American jobs for Americans.
Their innovation is to outsource jobs to Global Asian group. They are not keeping jobs in USA.
