you've got to be kidding, announcing it Christmas week!!!! merry winter holiday. got to be politically correct.
I love how these self-proclaimed CEOs and market experts explain how Halliburton is going into bankruptcy. Makes me wonder why they are on here giving free advice instead of making millions teaching other people to be as successful as them!
Miller is following the orders of the board to minimize spend-except bonus payments for executives and board members-as usual.
Pre-bankruptcy actions. Still paying off laser’s baker debacle. Run.
Miller is in it for Miller..Merry Christmas.
Oh yes - buyers are purchasing properties pennies on the dollar for cash before making it to auction day in Texas
Wasn't carrollton announced months ago that they would close in 2021? Wtf were they still doing there? Should've left asap.
Halliburton is laying off 216 employees from its Carrolton, TX manufacturing plant.
I may be missing something, BUT hasn't that plant been closed for the last few months, and its machine tools and other assets already auctioned off? (A quick auction indicates that Halliburton needed the cash)
Also included in the auction were the personal tools of the former machinists, who were NOT allowed into the plant after they were laid off, to retrieve their personal property.
And it appears that Halliburton is employing ENRON/Arthur Anderson style accounting, since the number of laid off employees, comes nowhere near the actual total of those permanently laid off company wide.
