If a buyout is offered I will take it in a heartbeat. I don't understand why they don't offer voluntary layoffs all around instead to just to a select group. I'm certain there are plenty of people who would be happy to leave for whatever reason. And the more people volunteer, fewer of those who want to stay will be affected. This should be a win-win situation.
