AL W. The union representative confirmed that there will be NO layoffs at Commuter and Metra is not taking over operations. Union Pacific will continue running the commuter division as they always have. When this man speaks , its gospel !
Commuter is not going anywhere, it’s here to stay..
Commuter sure will be gone January 1st
I'm not worried about when the first layoff in 2021 will be as much as how many more will be laid off on 2021. Remember, the COO is still there and will play "advisor" before he leaves for good in June. He's knows he's gone in June. He might as well burn it to the ground on his way out. Hopefully he takes Fritz with him when he goes
Management January 11th
Commuter will be January 1st if another extension isn’t signed with Metra. Current contract ends Dec 31st.
Jan 1 followed by 364 more days of layoffs. And lots of hot dogs at the safety feeds
Actually, make that January 5 since Tuesdays are usually reserved for layoffs.
