Vision & Dental downgrade

Hidden in fineprint im some random email from HR is a little detail that most people ignored. Q used to treat Sr Staff and above as "executive" for the purpose of giving extra benefits for dental and vision. They have now changed the title to Director & above for executive benefits. Thats a major downgrade in benefits for folks with sr staff, principal titles. Seems like Q is getting so top heavy that there is a serious title inflation. Sr Staff of the old days is now director. No wonder staff engineers seem so clueless these days and seem more like fresh graduates. I suspect this will lead to people trying to become managers even when they have zero people and organization skills.

Wow benefits seem to have really gone down hill since the old days when they were all paid for and everything was pretty much covered at 90%. Between that, no innovation, terrible management, low pay why do you stay? You are worth more than QC will ever give you credit for.

They had changed limit from $500 to $300 but they made tests to be 100% covered over $300 limit.

Previously $500 limit is for both test and glasses. So, overall it might be almost similar but varies on your scenario.

Vision went down to $400 to spend whatever on, but exams are now 100% covered.

Almost the same, but I think glasses will end up costing an additional few bucks or so depending what you pick for example.

Just checked. Dental at least is still the same. Vision maybe not.

This is false. I'm Sr Staff and just confirmed that my cash allotment was reset at the beginning of this year. Still have it.

Not really! It’s just Qualcomm creating better margins. When I first came to Qualcomm all benefits were paid for - nothing was taken out of your check. But Qualcomm is no longer an innovative company and thus benefits don’t match Silicon Valley.

What's the date/time that the email was sent out? HR Hub still shows Sr Staff being eligible.
