Following in the footsteps of IBM, DXC, Capita etc, all UK roles to be moved to cheaper locations. This starts in the new year.

Be careful with this belief. There are processes now to allow offshore staff to be cleared to work on some secure accounts. I've seen DXC make arrangements for staff based in India to work on accounts that require high clearances than BPSS. Typically only up to 'Official Sensitive', but that's a significant percentage of the work. This can be done, and has been done for some accounts. Others will follow, especially where the client is pressuring DXC to reduce their costs.
8rv3QEX - they could acquire the secure client IP, grab the knowledge from existing staff and then make all DXC take on staff redundant and either client / both Atos just hire on need to hire basis temporary workers / contractors (on-shore)

But it doesn't look good for non secure DXC accounts.
Makes sense if the DXC and Atos take over goes ahead is to acquire the knowledge from UK workers and transfer this to cheaper offshore IT experts to undertake the work.
Therefore no need for Atos to take on any DXC UK liabilities and overheads such as staff, physical locations.
igdm+18rv3QEX : Government don't seem to care - ask IBM/Capita/DXC ! NHS, 'secure accounts', etc all offshored over the last 2 years, some to non-EU countries too.
some should complain to government and replace atos as vndor in government contract and nhs
It won’t be all jobs?
YesI think people were aware of this. Technical services first in January
