Yard News?

I had heard the EB hump at N.Platte was closed but is now open again. What about some of the other yards? Proviso? Is Roseville hump open? I would think Hinkle and Pine Bluff are lost forever. What about your area yard? Any news on closings, reopenings, ect..

Type Global 1 in search engine of UP website. Sales and marketing sent a nice letter to premium customers on Nov. 30 stating Global 1 will close in 60 days. Union is playing dumb and labor relations is playing dumber

The correct hump
Number it 2500 to 3000 currently only the best yard on the system does that consistently. North Little Rock

Unless a hump can process 1500-2000 a day they will not be utilized. Flat switching in yards that were never set up to switch in, and then having a manager threaten to cut jobs when it doesn’t work is the new normal. Switch crews don’t get any relief on rules or processes to make things work just threats and intimidation.

They’re calling back furloughed managers to distribute hot dogs on dodge street

I have heard they dumped lots of money into Hinkle , tie and switch projects. Also have been hearing the powers that be are not happy with Albina as far as work getting done.
