Why did Oxy not file a WARN notice on layoffs in 2020? Both Exxon and ConocoPhillips have. There must be some difference in the number of layoffs or some other technicality. It seems like they all would give the 60 days pay no matter what so it can’t be that.

Yep VSP & COC were a few thousand.
They can thank the VSP people for keeping the lay-off number to only 175.
WARN notice is required only if 500+ people are affected. The only lay-off Oxy did in 2020 was in January and around 175 people were affected.

I think it has to be a percentage of the Oxy Texas Workforce. The layoffs were not a very high percentage of the total workforce.
