Thread regarding Gulfport Energy Corp. layoffs

Chapter 7?

Word is our assets our so worthless that no one else wants them.
Let's hope we don't have to padlock our offices like Parsley. Parsley employees, when the sale was announced, were told all their jobs would be protected. Now they are all fired. You gotta figure the same thing will happen to Gulfport. The entire c-suite is incompetent and with much larceny in their hearts. All of the investors will end up with nothing. It's sad.

Parsley Energy (PE -2.7%) is closing its Austin, Tex., offices and laying off more than 230 employees, according to a notice to the Texas Workforce Commission.
The office closures and layoffs are permanent, although some of the employees may be offered jobs with Pioneer Natural Resources, which is buying Parsley in a deal valued at ~$4.5B.

It’s my understanding that in England once a company declares bankruptcy, the management names go on a list and they are barred, by law, from ever running another company.
The names of management of the bankrupt Shalers and all of the clowns at these law firms that provided the hare-brained schemes that resulted in the bankruptcies should go on such a list. If only.
