Since we all know that layoffs are going to kick off January 2nd, 2021 anyone cleaning out their desk before Christmas?

If you want to clean up the desk please do it before the end of December 11, 2020. What I heard from facilities they will be locking down both towers except for the critical employees. You may not have time in the new year if you are not lucky enough.
Cleaned out my golf clubs, shoes and special toys last week.
It'll be done by the 15th and yes I'm emptying my desk

Layoffs cannot be that fast. Merger is not an "overnight" process. It takes time to determine and do transition. March 2021 would be a more realistic date. For those who are in other areas such as Investor Relations etc those could be affected earlier. Let's not spread the panic

Who gave you 2nd jan date? No need to clean desks they send all personal documents back by parcel to your home address.
I am thinking its closer to end of January rather than early. But yes, will need to clear off the desks soon.
