I’m worried about the upcoming reorgs as I’m pretty certain majority of us are. Sadly, I have a feeling many are not going to be ready for it. To make it worse, I have a nauseating pit in my stomach because I know the wait is going to be painful. I wish they’d just rip the bandage off instead.

To the person who responded to the Street Smart Comment... what the hell did you say? Learn how to articulate your comment, at least use grammar check. LOL, Must be in management.
YES, its really the bad to a person who is hiding out. You have to look at it from their side, they have been hiding all these years, keeping quite, riding the park-n-ride everyday, clocking in exactly the same and clocking out exactly the same time every day. Hoping that they don't get asked to do anything else, signing up for all the community events not only to skip a day of work but to put on the perception that they are a team player, all the while trying to hide the fact that they really don't offer anything to the company that they can't get from a contract employee. Its a jungle out there and if you think you are not a number then you are hopeless. These type of people are sheep, their children are sheep, they will live the rest of their lives being sheep and letting other people guide them.
Is it really that bad? Really? I'm so busy, can't talk to anyone. Saw that they posted a 6 months contract in liquids capital accounting. 6 months it's like yesterday and tomorrow... poof, gone!
To the person who is "Street Smart." Aren't you know by now that world is made equally from "Street Smart People" and those who like to "have their band aid to rip off"? They equally needed, hehehe
They teach u this in school: "when u working for Oil and Gas U just the number and that's how it works. When times are good, ask for the rise and safe your $$$, when times are bad... U look for another job." The skills you have is your power:)))Just trust yourself.
To the person who just wants the bandaid ripped off. You sound really scared and unsure of your ability to even work for a company like TC. You sound like you been hiding all these years and the hen has finally came home to roost. For you non street smart people it means this person has been hiding out and now he/she has been found. Kind of like the swing line stapler guy, lol. Do your self a favor and IF you manage to skate by under the radar this time I would look elsewhere for employment. You are only hurting yourself mentally and physically by wondering everyday if your secrete of being worthless will be found out.

Garbage company? come on now, you mean to tell me you're not impressed with everybody's spouses working next to them, the fumbling leadership who makes you think you should be ever so grateful for them giving you a job? My favorite is when a conference call ends early and the person leading the call says "I'll give you back 2o minutes of your time" sooo passive aggressive like they own you and your time. if you are in Houston or Charleston then you are nothing in the eyes of Calgary. A number that should be grateful to have a job. its a blessing to be let go from this can of c-ap company. Cut throat like every other company out there. look at BP, Exxon, people are crying and getting escorted out. nuff said.
Got laid off years ago. They don’t change. They lie and lay people off like they are less than nothing. Do yourself a favor and leave that garbage company.
That’s what I’ve been hearing too. Tech Center was told that they were done “ for now”. Stay tuned
Yep, looks like all contractors liquids and gas are gone until late next year, then they will cut internal core employees by Jan 10 (hence back to office Jan 11). No chance of being absorbed to another business unit like the new developed renewable energy business unit aka friend and family of managers. look on the bright side no more conference calls with people who can't lead a conversation or leaders that stumble their way through meetings. The cuts will be deep, like people you never thought would be cut, lifers but apparently they won't be. good luck. See you in the waiting room of the next energy company for the same position.
