Thread regarding IDEO layoffs

I understand that the pandemic inevitably affected every sector, but could IDEO still manage the crisis better? While it’s easy to say, I still think the company could have done a lot better, or am I wrong? What do you think? What things could've been done differently?
Perhaps what bothers me the most is the lack of transparency.
