Milk it for all it’s worth says it all. Some of us are not capable of working that way. We want work to have a purpose and see value come from the things we do. That is why I left and others I know have left or will be leaving shortly.

I work harder now than I did at EMR and I like it that way. I feel alive!

I don't know what the problem is here, I for one will never leave EMR, seriously why would I leave a company that pays me to do nothing and gives me a raise each year on top of that!
If I was looking for a real job or company I respect I would go elsewhere.
The majority of the people I work with here, even those who won't publicly admit it, feel the same way, this is really the EMR way and has been like this for a very long time, there is nothing new in these threads, just the same ole stuff, just different people saying it.
Get over it already and milk it for all it's worth!

You have obviously not been in a position where EMR cared whether you went to a competitor or not. Yes, I am sure some stats show non-competes are worthless but it all comes down to what state it is being litigated in and whether the company wants to be aggressive in enforcing it. If you are in a senior position with a lot of confidential knowledge go test it out. Maybe EMR will care and maybe they won’t. And the Company hiring you may or may want to be dragged into a lawsuit. Regardless, I suggest you go for it if you hate EMR that much. Probably a mutual feeling so you’ll be ok.

Blame all these on the heartless David Farr who led the company in wilderness for 20 years. He cares more about himself than employees. He made hundreds of millions from Emerson while the hourly workers get screwed.

If you signed one of those non-competes then you have agreed (read the fine print) to have any lawsuit litigated in the state of Missouri where EMR has HQ. EMR out that clause in when they lost a suit in the state of Texas years ago.

FYI, those non-compete docs aren’t worth the paper they are on in “right to work” states like Texas! So if you don’t live in one of those l—-g states that probably supports Joe, you have nothing to worry about.

I heard from a very reliable source that E+H is open to speak to any current or former employees of this rotten company.
E+H will be thankful for all the real insider information.
I know they are looking to ramp up hiring for 2021.

Y'all think this is about DF and its not. It is ingrained in every person in management because it is the very management structure that creates the "leaders" in the business. Look no further than HR processes and what is valued. An MBA with no practical experience will have a louder voice than those with years of experience. Only significant changes in management philosophy will change EMR. It's the same approach in every large conglomerate. The process is more important than the outcome. The presentation is more important than the execution.

And EMR has a massive failure rate in bringing in leaders from outside and having them stay and move up in the org. That's a sign and only tangentially related to DF.
