Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Severance and TX unemployment

If i sign the docs to get the severance does that mean I no longer qualify for TX unemployment ? Newby to layoffs here. Comments appreciated.

You will still be able to apply for unemployment benefit once your severance pay runs out. ExxonMobil will not contest your application for unemployment. ExxonMobil has actually been paying for unemployment tax for all employees, so the state will charge to the Exxon account. That account should be fat and ripe. Charge away.
