HR pressures the hiring manager to post internally / externally at the same time. It gets awkward if you try to decline the external posting.
This happens with many other companies who post on the job boards. It is very frustrating for job-seekers. They should not be posting externally if there are already internal candidates lined up for the job.
This job will be filled internally. I personally know two qualified individuals. One of them for sure will get the job.
Sorry but they sometimes post externally just for show.
