Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

As we wait for the polls at local 301 to open, there is so many unanswered questions. Was there a legit election cmte appointed in Jan of 2020? Will any elections held in 2020 hold up in court? Does the term constitution and bylaws mean anything to anyone? (Elected or not) Did the membership approve the spending of union funds to use county owned election machines? Did anyone tell the members running for office that they can not campaign on the clock? Must use vacation or personal time to campaign in any building, at any business, per federal law. Current elected officials also can not campaign while on the clock, per federal law. The entire election can be thrown out and a new election held, overseen by the US DOL, because of bylaws violations, and federal laws regarding campaigning on the clock as well. Election flyers can only be placed in company approved hourly break rooms and union info boards, another federal law, not to mention long standing GE policy. Today we hear, day before the vote, that all hourly get a hr to punch out and go vote and get paid for it. Wonder what the feds will say to that as well? The best way to get people involved in your union, that's been under suspicion of shady stuff for many years, keep on breaking laws, making side deals, and rubbing in peoples faces!! I anxiously read the papers each day waiting to see the big headlines of the Feds in town, boy are there gonna be a lot of shocked and sad folks when the day arrives!!!
