Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Bring a new CEO from outside!

Instead of inbreeding, bring a new CEO from outside with different perspectives and fresh ideas. Fire the existing management and install a fresh one.

That is the only solution!

I think he would at least take exxon into the ground more gently than our current leadership.

Jeffrey Skilling might be available. He was released from a halfway house in Texas back in February.

Agree. The system that brought you the industry wide saying, “Exxon makes money despite themselves” leading to the highest operating costs for the major oil companies will continue until there is outside leadership.

Certainly agree.
I've heard some outside names thrown around - Musk, for one.

But let's not forget there is one best CEO out there and available soon.
January 21 is my understanding.

Different truck. Same drivers. Thought these guys were going to work one or two years through the re-org and then leave. Need some fresh blood in there. And please no more Downstreamers in CEO positions.

Totally agree with this. There seems to be no trust in the guy in charge now and the "strategy" and actions that come out of Dallas. There seems to be a lot of Yes men and women in Dallas that have sold themselves on more stocks and more money for themselves rather than on being real leaders.

Will never happen although it should. They need a new management team from the top down to the department head levels. They don't call XOM the "puppy mill" for no reason.
