How TF is it possible to be laying off individual contributors while they have an easy 10 SLS above heads!? DHs are litterally trying to find “something” for these people to do! Waste of money

The selection criteria in Baytown is really confusing and somewhat concerning. In addition to some solid engineers being let go this week, one of the best was PIP'ed in July and walked. I understand unit monitoring and other technical activities are transitioning to offsite resources, but that model can't work when a major upset occurs. Look at the massive response from the major upsets over the past few years or even the hurricane restart activities. I'm glad I'm no longer at the site and wish nothing but the best for everyone left to pick up the pieces.
Dang shame they let go some solid technical staff today but no layoff of any SLS or DH in Baytown, surprised? Not at all.
Should’ve been best friends with a Managers kid instead of doing actual work
Anyone know of the spike of positive covid cases at the site going up? It was mentioned in a team meeting and that person was interrupted in mid sentence to change the subject by our second line.
How to succeed as an employee in Baytown: Play on your phone all day and pretend to do important things when your manager walks down the hallway/calls/emails you. Hold meetings about future meetings and then do it again, drag out decisions that could be made in seconds to weeks. Lie, cheat, and backstab. Drink all the cool aid, and never speak up when, in any normal situation, you would. There you go! You are now FLS/SLS/Management material!
Lol, imagine that... Baytown. I can only imagine the “promotions” that will happen once the FS TA Event passes.
SLS = senior lazy secretary
Not surprising, typical Baytown shenanigans
That site is the equivalent of a rash you can’t cure, super toxic
