Hoping managers on this board can shed some light. Which employees will they communicate to first? The ones that are laid off or the ones that are safe?

Why they heck does a manager need 30 minutes to fire someone? That's a lot of awkward moments. I'd be more worried if they booked a 5 minute meeting.
I got my private meeting for tomorrow, 30 minutes, with my manager and a manager three levels above him. I am worried. I noticed that my boss has only three private meetings on his calendar and has seven employees under him. I would have thought all seven would be having a meeting, regardless if they are eligible or not.
If HR is invited then your toast. If it’s just for you then it should be ok. Unless then bring HR in right at the start of the meeting.
Not sure - but I requested a reschedule of mine.

I think it is random. Got my invite for Weds but so did a bunch of others...some of us are already on the safe list (NRE) and others are not. Maybe it is left up to Manager's discretion. I haven't heard of any "invites" for tomorrow. I think it all starts on Weds.
