HR and Legal Dept. will definitely review the entire list to ensure the layoffs are diversified among age, s-x, race, year of service, etc. to avoid any future litigation of discrimination.

There would have been a legal sensitivity analysis to make sure there was not adverse impact to protected groups, if that is what you are wondering.
