Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Your Real Value

This upcoming week is going to s—. Good people will lose their jobs; a few bad people won’t lose theirs. Life isn’t fair.

For those that will struggle accepting the fact they were selected for the involuntary severance or who aren’t emotionally equipped for such temporary setbacks, please listen up!

Your value as a human being has nothing to do with who employs you, if you are employed or not, or how much you earn. Read the last sentence again.

Please, I beg you, do not contemplate s–c-de or self harm. Your friends and family love you and depend on you. You cannot be replaced. ExxonMobil isn’t worth taking your life over. Please seek professional help or tell a friend or family member if you are having s–c-dal thoughts.

Consider this an opportunity to recalibrate or reconfigure your life for a new and different course. Turn to your passions in life to sustain you through the bad days and to recharge your batteries. There is still much beauty left in this ugly world. Seek it out and cherish it.

Good luck to all this week! The sun will rise on Wednesday morning and the days after that.

I don't often quote Sartre. In fact, never. Haven't even read the dude.
But he did say:
"Freedom is what you do with what's been done to you."

Anything can seem like a destiny, but that's not the case.

Thanks OP.

The data fudging UIS/RTD employees .. e.g. let's assume there is one who moved from one function to another, fudge data, didn't do anything technical that was useful and s—ed to bosses shamelessly to become supervisor of technicians will survive.

Thank you, psychologist. Can’t believe “the best of the best” would handle things in that fashion. If folks learn anything from their EM experience, it is called SSH&E. No one gets hurt, much less self harm! God bless.
