Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Are they trying to get us to walk away?

All these changes they've been implementing lately (restrictions, more like it) make it seem like they're trying to get rid of as many full-timers as they can without having to lay them off and pay them severance. "Make their lives miserable so they'll walk away" seems to be the new motto. Which is kind of ridiculous since we are understaffed as it is. There's no way this can backfire. (sarcasm)

Not just associates, they are doing this to managers too. Especially tenured managers with a high salary. Make up lies about performance, horrible schedule and just overall difficult to accomplish your tasks and goals.

Then after Christmas is over and your wiped out exhausted they k–l your Livelihood by taking away your commissions. Next will be fake customers Complaints

I believe this may be true. If they can push people who are full time and with many years of service to the brink to quit, they will save a lot in severance and then don’t even have to supplement unemployment. Sad that the company I gave many many years of loyal service to is ending up this way.
