You won't see any layoffs in Brazil as their government makes foreign companies pay a hefty price for reducing its local workforce. Rather, Brazil will become a main engineering hub. However, since they design everything on tabletops using crayons (Subsea 2.0, Rev. E), their non-recurring engineering costs will be lower. However, don't expect bolt patterns on flanges to align on first builds ....
Please expand on which groups were affected? Subsea project managers, project coordinators, planners/schedulers, project controllers, engineers? More people in west Texas? Any major managers in Subsea or Manufacturing? How many layoffs in Brazil? Now many bonuses to all top execs?
