AST isn't on our ownership, but I'm just assuming the report isn't finalized, so I'm not panicking. Does anyone have any knowledge of what might be in store for what's left of AST?

My HR Enhancements to the End-to-End Colleague Experience ? Details for Superusers
As team members who are actively involved in the hiring and onboarding process, we are excited to let you know about the work underway to create a more seamless, consistent, and inclusive approach to recruiting, hiring, and onboarding talent at Macy?s, Inc.
Through expanded capabilities in MyHR, starting February 26, we will have a one-stop shop for colleagues throughout the entire colleague lifecycle.
What?s new: We will now offer a more efficient, end-to-end talent experience for all Macy?s, Bloomingdale?s, and Bluemercury colleagues. Through this work, as part of the MBA / AST / TAC / ASC / SHRA population, you will be more empowered to impact the candidate and colleague experience.
With the incorporation of Modern Hire at the hourly level, the candidate and recruitment experience will improve greatly by providing flexibility to candidates and hiring managers through the utilization of video and on-demand interviewing technology.
Across the enterprise, we will introduce a simple and quick application experience for both external and internal applicants with refreshed macysJOBS.com and bloomingdalesJOBS.com websites. People Leaders will gain greater transparency into the Talent Acquisition process and ownership of the candidate and colleague experience.
We will be transitioning all Talent Acquisition & Onboarding processes to MyHR, bringing all HR data into the Oracle ecosystem. This change will result in the sunsetting of Taleo, PeopleTools, MyJRQ, Online Forms, and Onboarding / Phone Hiring Application. In addition, information on the Employment Portal will migrate to AskHR, and we will be moving to a new I-9 vendor via Hire Right, as Equifax will sunset on February 26.
These expanded MyHR capabilities will greatly enhance efficiencies by enabling us to manage information and data in a single place.
What you need to know: As we prepare for go-live at the end of February, here are some key dates you need to know:
February 5 ? Final day to request new macysJOBS.com/bloomingdalesJOBS.com job postings
Mid-February (dates to come) ? People Leader and MBA / AST / TAC / ASC / SHRA training and education via webinar
February 14 ? Final day for hiring and transfer activity to take place before HR systems blackout
February 15 ? February 25: HR systems blackout (no hiring / transfers / HR data changes)
Work with your People Leader now to plan around these dates with new hires, etc. Terminations can still be processed during this blackout.
February 26: Launch
What?s next: Details around training and other important milestones will be shared as we get closer to launch. In the meantime, People Leaders and MBA / AST / TAC / ASC / SHRA colleagues can click here to review an FAQ for more information.
We look forward to introducing these important enhancements to the organization. Thank you for your support.
I'm on vacation. I just assumed I'd be left in the dark. Can you at least give me a hint about what c-ap I'm going into when I get back?
it was an email by corporate communication...i assume if you are in AST you would receive it.
Can someone please post the contents of the email regarding upcoming AST changes? I'm an associate and no one tells me anything.
Not using PeopleTools? How on earth would you manage personnel related informations and reports? Good Lord that program is the only thing between me and the selling floor 😂😂😂 Now what do I show the store manager 😂
did you see the email about the upcoming changes in February? They are going to stop using People Tools, MY JRQ, Equifax, etc and have the People Leaders more in involved in the hiring of their colleagues. There will be webinars this coming month for AST and other groups. So what are they planning to do, shift more of the hiring process to the people leader using MY HR? Less responsibility for AST.
Yes, you do support priorities assigned to the OVM if you are AST. Do you open tickets on broken registers? If you do, that's a support function which falls under operations. Look at your task list for more examples.
There are blurred lines of responsibility between the MBA and OVM. You report to the MBA, but in essence you also support the OVM.
when are these expectations coming out? support ovm? in my store we do not have anything to do with ovm's or AYS.
do we know what jobs are being changed? shifted? eliminated?
AST isn't going away. That job is included in all the task and role responsibility calls I've been on, discussions in how those colleagues support MBA and OVM. You should see that list of expectations!
it depends on the store also. AST has nothing to do with AYS in my store. They run a two separate entities.
AST can help in AYS, but AYS cannot help in AST. Too much legal work involving hiring and confidentiality, plus handling large amounts of money.
The two areas will remain separate, reporting to MBA.
Don't forget that the managers can run AST. I trained a Sales M. In the cash office, she is more capable to do it and they have access to phone hiring which is what Macy's wants to go forward with.
AST is or will go away soon ... nobody is secure in their jobs any more.
OP here. I was thinking more along the lines of do you think AST will be further folded into other functions (like when it was combined with AYS).
I think this person who said AST was eliminated in their store "in September" is really speaking about the AST Supervisor job, which was eliminated in August when it was folded in to the new MBA job. Stores did not lose AST hourly jobs a month before holiday onboarding started....... !!!
Did the AST budget come out today? It was suppose to be released Friday but it wasn't. Get rid of AST. who would do all those functions of they did?
The person who stated it was eliminated in their store in September? What happened?
AST was eliminated from my old store in September. It’s not a guaranteed position anymore.
AST remains. Different report, every year. No change. Take a breath.
In the past, AST has always appeared on a separate budget even from 8030. My guess is someone forgot to include in power BI. There is no way we can function without AST handling cash office and hiring and training.
