They will not hire contractors, they are to expensive in the long run. I am a Windstream employee that went through a strike in 2003. Rumors are going around that Eliott will merge Windstream and Frontier somehow. Our Lump Sum was restored after exiting Bankruptcy so hold on to retirements don't make any rash decisions.

Just got my notice from the union that we are going to picket at the Super Bowl. That will show the company!

Yeah, let's walk around in circles carrying signs and saying rhymes. Can't wait not to see these losers when I watch the super bowl

I’m a former Securitas van driver who used to drive you union workers a whopping 2 whole blocks to yours cars because you were too lazy to just walk. I would marvel at how you would wait in the lobby for 10 minutes when you could just walk to your car in 3 minutes. Look I may have drank on the job and I may have smashed the van into the side of the building but at least I didn’t act like a privileged snob just because I answered billing calls for a ridiculous twenty five bucks an hour.

Typical union people, acting like self entitled millionaires, forgetting their a pink slip away from minimum wage.

I’m a manager in Tampa and I have to say that I’m not liking what I’m reading. You people need to stay positive and not say lies about Frontier. Your union let you down, not Frontier. We have made Frontier fair offers, but they refused to budge. I will sincerely miss a lot of you, but change is in order. You knew this time was coming and I hope you all prepared yourselves.

You people need to stop complaining and be grateful you all have jobs. Frontier is your employer so start acting like employees. I think everyone here can afford a small decrease in hourly wages and less benefits. Stop being selfish and think of the greater good. Frontier Forever!!!!!

sounds like some retirees will have possible lawsuits if they retired under this contract that was being extended daily,if they try to take medical from retirees,,,,you would think contract wording is binding in court of law,,,,at least I got my money last year,,Best of luck to you that are still working ,suppose to be meetings today in Tampa

You are just as dumb as your comment. Under bankruptcy you cannot get the lump. You are about as id–tic as the hall business manager. Stop with the B$. I know, you are trying to be funny. Your not!

The only dumb **s is you and your union ilk, butt hurt that about the annuity you will receive. Oh by the way, it's going to be 20% less of what you "deserve" to get. PBGC is under funded, glad the check cleared for those who were "smart" to leave/quit last year this time. Good luck to your employment. Don't carry any sharp snips you may poke the life raft and sink.

Been trying to tell you fools for a while now the union is done and out. Keep waiting to find out what happens, your lump sum payout has already sailed, keep hoping the union can protect you. Time to deal with the real world, theres a reason there are so many right to work states, nobody needs unions anymore for naturally granted rights for employees. The extra cash in your checks will feel good and make you realize the union has done nothing for you after all this time. Being out from under the union is a celebration, enjoy.

No matter how worthless you claim CA’s union is it can in no way be worse than IBEW 824 in Tampa, FL.

Understandable. Especially if there's an employee that goes by the name"Cletus."

The company will terminate the contract extension for FL IBEW 824 workers that has been in place for the last two years. On April 16th all FL Union workers will no longer have a job unless IBEW accepts whatever the company offers them. Bottom line: FTR has IBEW bent over and is about to shove whatever they want right up their a$$ if the union wishes its workers to still have a job

CA you're next in sept. Union just as worthless. Employees greater than 15 years should have left, you'll never get all of your money back

The level of denial by these Florida employees is astounding. Most had no idea the notice was even given let alone a clue what it really means. Oh and and there were management RIFs for FL on Friday as well so looks like the company is about ready to purge it’s FL workforce of all the excess and unneeded employees ... who let’s face it have been taking up space for years and not contributing much of anything. There are some truly worthless and lazy individuals still left at 610 Zack St who all need to go. We all know who they are.

Sure would be nice to have a business manager that would put the members first. He is a "scratch my back i'll scratch yours" and we see where that got up. A year and half with no contract voted on? Come on man.... all other states have a contract but us. our business manager doesnt have a clue.

Disregard my “baseless rumor “ post. They did indeed give a 90 day notice to end contract extension. It remains to be seen what new, if any, agreement is reached.

I’m so glad I’ve paid my union dues all these years only to now be without a job come April 16th! Good thing I’ve been taking all those online classes on the companies dime. Anybody know who is hiring in Tampa?

Looks like management blinked first. The Union has been pounding Frontier for the last year and now we broke them. We called their bluff and they submitted the 90 day notice thinking that would scare us into submission. Guess what? We laughed in their face. Once they realize they can’t live without us, then we get what we want. Who wants free health insurance? Who wants matching 401k up to 25%? We will get all of that and more!!! Just please keep paying your union dues in the meantime. We are your Union!! Cletus out.....
