Well, little bit of good news today. Jon Stokes sent out an email today saying there would be no furloughs for Feb like was being considered. Hopefully there are no layoffs either.
Looks like oil prices are going up, so hopefully were on the other side of this.

I was an Emerson planner. It is true that I spent most of my time making slides and becoming a PowerPoint guru, but that wasn’t my only skill. I also wrote glowing reviews for Emerson on glassdoor.
Leadership development across Emerson means hiring dozens of strategic planners who are very intelligent but have now industry knowledge and then spreading them around the divisions where they use their only skills (PowerPoint) and play politics to get their next assignment. Meanwhile nobody visits customers (even pre-pandemic), innovation drops and the goal is no longer customer satisfaction it is trying to make a product with +90% GP even if that means selling one per year at an exorbitant price. Emerson has become a joke.
PRM has the best culture in all of AutoSol. Go there if you are young and want a great foundation for leadership development.
PRM seems to be hiring. That BU with the toxic culture.
With the current administration, and corporates love of China, the US facilities will likely be downsized and the China facilities enlarged.
Automation Solutions has already announced layoffs in Europe.
Heard the same spiel for September, remember?? Then what happens? Boom! Lay offs! They even took from the small companies that already were running at little to no staff.... no one is safe when it comes to those, just sayin’.
So, it looks like Automations Solutions is safe for the time being per J Stokes!
HA! You’ve been lied to again!
I know for a fact from a very reliable HR contact (who was correct about the previous round) that layoffs are 100% coming - paperwork has already been signed - you all have been warned!
Go find another job, any job, TODAY!!
I just heard from an ISV friend that they announced furloughs this week, and then did a round of layoffs yesterday. Seems like they were one of the only ones that hadn't had to do furloughs yet.
