After 3 tumultuous years at Shell, I’ve decided to take the SVS package. Too much volatility in this company and in oil and gas for my liking, so I’m gonna find something more stable where I can build a career.
Who else is taking the package? How does everyone feel about the situation (especially those of you who are on the fence)?
SVS2021 could be the last SVS!
Time to gtfo. Only concern is finding employment in current covid economic condition.

After 12 years in the company, I’m taking the package (a different and better one than the 3 weeks / year mentioned as I’m not based in US)
Oil industry is not the place to be anymore as it was years ago, so I’ll be looking for a job in another industry, after a well deserved break ;)
Still on the fence. Some days I want to run, other days, I want to ride this gravy train for as long as possible... Unfortunately that might be at the expense of my sanity... 😕 Not much time left to decide, although technically one can apply for SVS, but decide to not take it when it comes time to sign the papers...
Seriously thinking about it; figure why not stay on the roller coaster for another couple of years!!!
Tempted. On the fence though today. Reshape structure is not encouraging, more of the same cr@p, and worse!
Yes, submitted a few days ago. The last three years have been rough.
@mci+18UjQSiW yes I started off in SGP. Got displaced by Project Avanti and now I’m working in downstream in a random job I don’t really like.
Although I’m not impacted by Reshape, I’m ready to move on. I was already looking for new jobs, so getting paid to leave is a pretty sweet deal in my book.
Did you start at Shell in the graduate program?
