Oxy Warrants

Wish I could find the post of guys telling me my Oxy warrants were going to expire worthless. Looks like they are in the money today with six years left until expiration.

You can think of the warrant like a call option contract. I believe that the warrants expire in 2027 and have a call/exercise price of $22/share. So, let's say that on the expiration date in 2027 that the Oxy stock price is $40/share and that you held onto your warrants. On the date of expiration, you would receive $18 for each of your warrants. On the market today, the Oxy warrants were trading at $22 share which to me indicates that the current value of one Oxy share in 2027 is currently $44. As the stock price goes higher, the warrants will also go higher and since they were issued, they have actually appreciated at a higher rate than Oxy stock. With that being said, probably just better to liquidate the warrants when you feel comfortable since you already have a lot of exposure to Oxy stock and your employment is also tied to the company. Me on the other hand, I purchased a lot more warrants near the bottom and am close to liquidating.

$22 still not great but warrants were given as substitute for dividends to give shareholders something of value. Just simply stating that the warrants have value and can be sold or held onto to recover some cash from what was lost in reduced dividend. As far as the $78 options, don't think that we'll be seeing that for a very long time, hold your breath.

$22 wow! Bravo!😏
I wonder when the $78 options handed out in 2015 will be in the money?

Executed Warrants are only diluting your current share value. At best, they are just slightly knocking down your avg cost per share. Lets be honest, the warrants will keep the prices hovering around the 20s for a while even when our competitors will be rocketing to the moon as oil creeps up as the vaccine continues to stimulate the economy and world wide travel.

Are you talking about arrest warrants for the execs for criminally fleecing the employees and shareholders to enrich WEB?
